Our Values at Upcycle Interiors: What They Really Mean - Reliability
You may have already seen our video about the three pillars that hold up Upcycle Interiors: Professional, Trustworthy, and Reliable.
These aren’t just nice words to put on a website - they’re the foundation of how we run our business.
What is a sash window restoration?
At Upcycle Interiors, we’re passionate about repairing, restoring, refurbishing, and renovating existing properties.
Our ethos is simple: make do and mend. In other words, we believe in repairing what’s already there, and preserving the history and character that make a property unique.

Estimates vs Quotes - Why The Difference Really Matters
At Upcycle Interiors, we’ve noticed a growing concern in the industry - and it’s one we take very seriously. More and more stories are emerging of customers being caught out by a misunderstanding between an estimate and a quote. It might sound like a small difference, but in reality, it can mean the difference between a stress-free project and a costly fallout.
Let’s break it down, the way we see it - with no fluff and no grey areas.
Understanding Your Quote
We believe that an informed client is a happy client. If you are reading this, you have most likely received a proposal from us & are in the process of deciding whether to go ahead. Perhaps you are comparing it with other quotes. Perhaps you are wondering what it includes, or why our figure is what it is
March 2025 - Pipe Cladding in Portland
Our customer contacted us through our website form after finding us on Nextdoor.

February 2025 - Full Apartment Renovation in Weymouth
Back in November, a local customer spotted our posts on Nextdoor and reached out by email, asking if we could handle a full renovation of his flat. Naturally, we jumped at the chance — these big projects are right up our alley!
The customer wanted a complete refurb, including a brand-new kitchen and two modern bathrooms. Since he wasn’t living locally during the work, meticulous planning and project management were key to keeping everything on track and ensuring smooth progress from start to finish.
Just Stop Oil
Now hear me out... I know they're controversial and I know they wind a lot of people up but one thing they did do is get people talking.
Oil - it's bad. Most people would agree drilling for oil and removing fossil fuels from the ground is a bad thing for the environment, now this goes deeper (excuse the pun), if we are to save the environment we should live in a sustainable way - which includes photovoltaic panels, solar panels, wind farms, generating electricity from tides, all of these are sustainable.

The Ultimate Guide to Scaffold Towers
With our birthday on the horizon we are already looking at new tools! So we bring this blog to you - all about the safe use of scaffold towers and the opportunities they bring. How exciting!
As with everything we do, detail is important and this includes access equipment. The regulations for scaffold towers aka mobile access towers are very strict to keep workers safe and prevent avoidable accidents & injury.
Scaffold towers are an essential piece of kit in any construction firm’s inventory, providing a sturdy platform for workers to perform various tasks at height.
A good understanding of the regulations is essential for anyone who uses, assembles, inspects and maintains scaffold towers.
