Our Story
We are a local team, all born in Weymouth but with industry experience from around the world including London, Italy, Peru, Portsmouth, Plymouth, and Brighton. Some of us have known each other since 1988, and others joined the Young Enterprise Scheme in 1999 and ran a Public Limited Company together.
Our true passion is in full property renovations, refurbishments and upcycling - our team can take your run-down or unloved property and give it a new lease of life. Architecture is at the core of the business and expressing and uncovering the natural charm, history & features of your home is what we do. We are confident that you don't want a bland, soulless, boring home.
We can create a seamless marriage of materials old & new, rough & smooth, and bring your concepts to life. Expressing the raw form, story, patina, and history of your property is important; materials should be respected for what they are.
We offer a professional turn-key solution to all your property needs, from small handyman maintenance tasks, right through to full renovations. We know it can be stressful and messy living on site during any building works and we will bring order to the chaos using our systems and processes. We strive to keep noise, dust, and mess to a minimum.

Meet The Team
Mark is a diligent person with 20+ years experience in Construction/Architecture.
Architecturally trained for 7 years, awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture in 2009 & qualified to RIBA Post Part 2 level. Good technical knowledge of setting out, construction, surveying, detailing, & production drawings.
Highly organized, with 10+ years management & leadership experience, resourcing, designing & implementing systems & procedures, good graphic & design skills. Property renovator with experience of sub-contracting, finance (mortgages, loans, bookkeeping, cashflow), project management, scheduling, & gantt chart programming.
Mark has a lifelong passion for upcycling, a refined style, and is naturally creative. He enjoys taking projects through from conception to completion.

Jason Steerment
Tradesperson
Jason has years of carpentry, mechanical, plumbing and handyman experience. He has previously run his own sole-trader businesses.
With previous experience of timber, metal and UPVC windows he is passionate about joinery, heritage sash window restorations, glass fitting, and period property doors and maintenance.
As standard he has a DBS check and, driving licence. He is also first aid trained and has a CPD certificate in Working Safely at Heights and Confined Spaces
Jason grew up in Weymouth where he achieved 10 GCSEs at Grade A-C, he was also educated in the USA where he learnt about motor mechanics, economics, law, American government, computer science. and completed the NJROTC program (Navy Junior Reserves).
Carla Ellery
PA and Personnel Manager
Carla has 25+ years of industry experience, her background is in Senior Management where she was a people & operations manager within fast paced Logistics & Supply Chain Management roles. She has developed high-performing teams, managed customer relationships and created tactical & strategic plans.
She is a great communicator and encourages successful people development. She is keen to tackle new challenges, and has the ability to quickly adapt to new situations with drive & confidence.
Lisa Hindle
Marketing Manager
Lisa has 20 years experience in an extensive professional background in IT and business administration, and previously owned and ran her own successful photography business for 10 years.
Lisa is first-aid trained and has an enhanced DBS check, she has experience of website design, social media management, graphic design, photography and client management.
At Upcycle Interiors Ltd Lisa primarily undertakes social marketing, advertising, website administration, and general marketing. She is also involved in the Sales Department.
