Our Story

Hi, we are Upcycle Interiors Limited - a family business local to Dorset.

Our senior team have known each other since 1988.

Our team all grew up in Weymouth and have industry experience from around the world.  We have 35+ years’ combined experience in architecture & construction.

Mark’s passion for property refurbishment came from living near an old Victorian double-fronted period property with large sash windows. It sat neglected and unloved for years on Abbotsbury Road. At roughly age 11 Mark dreamt about renovating the beautiful derelict building.

If you have a run-down, outdated, or decrepit property (even just one “room of doom”) our team can upcycle it to give it a new lease of life.

  • Architecture is at the core of the business. Our director Mark has a university Degree with Honours and Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture, so expressing and uncovering the natural charm, history & features of your home is naturally what we do.

  • Mark’s foundations of professionalism stem from a design-based career in and around London including Belgravia and Knightsbridge, Chelsea and Kensington, and Canary Wharf. Projects included: Tiffany & Co, Burberry, Selfridges, super-prime riverside developments, 5-star hotels and private residences in London’s diplomatic quarter.

Experience of multi-million pound contracts taught us that everything should be put into writing for you.

This helps to avoid any misunderstandings (even for Estimates and Schedule of Rates projects).

No matter how small your project is, your fixed-price quotation always be backed by a contract with a set of standard Terms & Conditions.

Mark’s first renovation in 2012 was a 1970’s one-bed flat in Southeast London, refurbished with upcycled and reclaimed materials. Lisa even helped out on this one by taking a sledgehammer to the bathroom wall!

  • Upcycle Interiors Limited (UIL) was established in 2018 in London, from the struggle and frustration of trying to find trustworthy and reliable tradespeople who would turn up.

  • As a one-man band, Mark rarely needed to travel far to find new clients - he started from the back of a push bike, with 12,000 dwellings within a one-mile radius.

  • UIL relocated to Weymouth, systems were put in place to begin scaling up the business, we built a team with a small fleet of vehicles. This enables us to take on bigger projects: specialising in interiors for Domestic, Residential & Commercial properties, and we can also tackle exteriors.

  • For your peace of mind, all our staff are DBS checked and work is insured (up to £1 million). With an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars across 450+ reviews, you can trust us with the keys to your property.

  • We are ranked No. 1 in the whole of the UK! Trading Standards approved, and members of the Painting and Decorating Association (PDA). We are consistently recognised for our reliable service and have collected several awards over the years.

  • We will always do what we said we would do, when we said we would do it. So contact our team now to begin the adventure:
