Our client approached us during the summer after a word-of-mouth recommendation from a previous repeat customer.
She wanted a kitchen makeover with a “light touch”. We managed to completely overhaul the kitchen while she was still able to use it every day.
There was some complex customisations to make to inbuilt fan/cooker hood and cabinets, but we were sympathetic to the existing kitchen so that no unnecessary damage was caused.
UIL Provided design and consultation services, advising on architectural features like changing the flooring to bring the hall/staircase into the kitchen, making it feel like one big room, and the colour scheme.
We also recommended that the built-in cupboards and Welsh-dresser be given a makeover in the same pink colour at the new kitchen, as this helped to tie it all in together.
We painted areas around the extractor fan that had been damaged by grease, and added new units and alongside the existing, including a curved unit to the end - with matching worktop. We also added a whole new run of units where previously there had been none - expanding the kitchen seamlessly out into the hall. The customer was able to continue using the kitchen throughout, without any stress or upheaval.
We carried out:
-fixing and replacing a stubborn tap - 2 previous plumbers had tried and failed to fix/fit this tap so we rose to the challenge.
-Refreshing old cupboards and colour-matching service to tie them in with the new kitchen
-painting all built-in cupboards and surrounding woodwork to a beautiful pink colour
Our customer was overjoyed to see the end result and we were pleased to have created her end vision.
