Eight years, sixty-six reviews, and one line on a website we've now read about forty times just to be sure.
Every trade business in the country says it's the best one. It costs nothing to say, it can't be checked, and most people have long since learned to hear it as background noise.
So we're going to be careful about how we say this.
On FreeIndex — an independent UK business directory that has verified our listing since September 2018 — Upcycle Interiors Ltd (UIL) is now ranked 1st out of 117 UK Home Improvement companies.
Not fourth, where we were sitting. First. In the country.
What That Actually Means
Here's the part that matters more than the headline, because a ranking is only worth something if you know how it was arrived at.
We didn't pay for it, apply for it, or nominate ourselves. FreeIndex verify every review by email and check them automatically for authenticity. They also manually reviewed our profile on 5 August 2026 — confirming our email works, our website works, our Companies House registration is real, and our reviews stand up to inspection.
The position comes from what our clients wrote. 66 reviews on that one platform. 64 of them five stars. Two four stars. Not one below.

Cory, in Dorchester, had spent nearly a year trying to get the cords on a sash window repaired. He'd been let down by local firms that didn't respond, and by firms that booked an appointment and then simply never turned up. Then he found us:

We took them to the workshop, replaced the rotten timber, renewed the ropes, brasswork and weights, rebuilt the stone sills and repainted throughout.
